Native Plants and Fall Planting

Ashville Free Library is hosting a celebration to formally open its new public outdoor space, featuring a stone patio, seating, and beautiful native gardens. The project began as the vision of a small group of dedicated, creative library volunteers and was made possible through support from community members, local businesses, environmental organizations, and grants.

Everwild Conservationist Carol Markham played a key role in the project by helping design and plant the gardens. At the celebration, Carol will discuss Everwild’s Yard Smarts program and share how native gardening support can help bring your planting ideas to life. Master Gardeners and Audubon Community Nature Center gardeners will also discuss the benefits of native plants and fall planting.

Wine and light refreshments will be served.
