While we make it our mission to protect the lands and waters that need the most care and attention, we also feel strongly that access to our natural resources is a crucial piece in helping keep our organization alive. We actively manage and upkeep over 10 miles of trails throughout our nature preserves and invite you to head out and enjoy what they all have to offer.

Bentley Nature Preserve
2960 Bentley Ave, Jamestown, NY 14701

Trail distance: .76 mi (loop)

Average time: 15 min (at 18:53/mile)

Elevation gain: 0 ft

Property acreage: 38.26 acres

Location & parking: Located in the town of Ellicott, located less than a half mile from the eastern shore of Chautauqua Lake just south of Interstate 86. The preserve can be accessed from Bentley Avenue, off of Route 430, and there is a main preserve sign, small lane for parking and an informational kiosk at its entrance.

Dobbins Woods Preserve

Average time: 1 hr 6 min (at 23:07/mile)

Elevation gain: 62 ft

Property acreage: 100 acres

Location & parking: West of Chautauqua Lake on the south side of Bly Hill Road off of state Route 394, with parking for up to 5 cars and access to the trailhead. A kiosk and boot brush station mark the entrance of the preserve.

Chautauqua Lake Outlet Greenway Preserve

Location & parking: A small four-to-five compact car parking lot is available off of Old Fluvanna Road. The trail head is accessible from the parking area.
